| Hours after the music had stopped playing and the lights had been extinguished, Ginny Weasley made her way back to Gryffindor common room. Her hair had fallen from its stylish updo and now lay full and glistening around her shoulders, framing her face, still damp from the dancefloor. With a goofy grin on her face, she began to climb the steps when she heard laughing from a dark corner.
"So, the littlest weasle has finally gotten rid of that oaf. Must have been wonderful, this is probably the most expensive dress you've ever owned. Too bad that it probably cost your family a year of saving every knut to get it."
The grin slid from Ginny's face and her cheeks began to burn. Trying to ignore Draco Malfoy's taunts was never easy, but she managed to push down the liquid hate bubbling inside and continue on her way.
"Must have hurt, I can only imagine, to have Dumbbottom stepping on your feet all night." Came the drawling continuation. Furious, Ginny turned and flew down the steps towards the once bouncing ferret.
Standing in front of him, she made a face, as though she had something particularly unpleasant beneath her nose, and said easily, "Not as much as it must have hurt Pansy to look at your ferret face all night. Twitch twitch, Malfoy!" She said, pleased with her witty comeback. "I can only imagine that goodnight kiss!"
Bursting into laughter, she began to walk away, reveling in the fuming face of her brother's worst enemy. Two steps later, she was being swung around to face him again, his arms tight around her waist and his face uncomfortably close to hers.
"Care to do more than imagine?" He whispered icily, and, not waiting for a reply, brushed his lips against hers in feathery light motions, and ran his teeth along her lower lip, sending chills from her forehead down to her toes. A second later, she was standing alone in the Entrance Hall with a spicy sensation on her lips and a wanton glazed look in her eyes. Draco Malfoy would have to pay.
